CYBERSEC HUB in Washington, DC

  We are very proud to announce that Cyberus Labs, one of the CYBERSEC ACCELERATOR startups, had been chosen to take a part in the official delegation of the Government of Poland to Washington. The delegation was led by: Jadwiga Emilewicz (Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development), Bartłomiej Grabski (Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense) and Dr. Piotr Dardziński (Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education). The main goal of event was to negotiate cooperation between Poland and the US in the field of cybersecurity. Marek Ostafil, Cyberus Labs’ COO participated among others in meetings with: Rudolph W. Giuliani, adviser on cybersecurity to the White House as well as the Chair of Cybersecurity, Privacy and Crisis Management Practice at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and US Senator Joe Manchin (Select Committee on Intelligence, Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet). Also, the delegation visited companies such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon as well as startups accelerators 1776 and Mach 37 which is dedicated to cybersecurity innovations. As Marek Ostafil highlighted: “That was a very valuable lesson of pragmatism, looking for practical functioning of systems and structures, quick decision-making and effective implementation”. Therefore, learning from the American experience in the field of cybersecurity is important both for public administration and startups. Finally, Cyberus Labs had a chance to present its password free logon system CYBERUS KEY at Google Inc headquarters in DC. The CYBERSEC Hub has also been represented by Izabela Albrycht, the chairperson of the Kosciuszko Institute. Besides, CYBERSEC Hub selected 5 other partner cybersecurity startups that joined the delegation, including Armaio, Autenti, Cryptomage, Nethone and Rublon. All startups experienced an unique networking opportunities in both the US defense companies, visited accelerators as well as within the Polish delegation members. As Michał Wendrowski, the CEO of Rublon concluded - "I hope for the further integration of the community within CYBERSEC Hub".
